Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookfield). They put the hurt on the Lexington Minutemen with a sharp 16-2 victory on Friday. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024 (when they won 18-3).

Brookfield let Brayden Shoop and Trayce Switzer run wild. Shoop went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Switzer went 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Shoop a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayton Glasgow, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Brookfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lexington struck out 12 times.
