Mexia is 8-1 against Connally since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 698th in Texas, while the Leopards are ranked 258th in Texas).

Mexia's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Connally, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
