Basketball Recap: Carolina Christian Academy Cougars vs. Emmanuel Christian Crusaders
Carolina Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 33-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emmanuel Christian Crusaders on Friday.
Maddie Oliver went supernova for Emmanuel Christian, earning eight points plus 14 rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabbi Crowley, who earned seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Emmanuel Christian's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.
Carolina Christian Academy will host Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Emmanuel Christian, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Maranatha Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
