Volleyball Recap: Green Valley Comes Up Short

Green Valley lost against Campolindo on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Green Valley Gators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campolindo Cougars.

Green Valley's offense was headlined by David Davila and Mua Sagaiga, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Zechariah Nissley and his 17 assists. Finally, Xavier Williams kept Green Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Green Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. Campolindo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Green Valley has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Cimarron-Memorial on the 18th. As for Campolindo, they will square off against Clayton Valley Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
