Softball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

Preston was the 19-13 winner over Bear Lake when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Wednesday.

Brielle Biggs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Preston's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Bear Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preston will host American Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.78 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bear Lake, they will challenge Teton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.9 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
