Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwest SD). Their defense stepped up to hand the Olympian Eagles a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Raiders needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Southwest SD's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4-7. As for Olympian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Eastlake the next time they take the pitch. Southwest SD will host Eastlake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Olympian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
