Softball Game Preview: Camden Bulldogs vs. Richland Northeast Cavaliers

For the second straight game, Camden will face off against Richland Northeast. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Camden is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Camden got the win against Richland Northeast by a conclusive 13-1.

Maddie Stokes was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season.

In other batting news, Camden got a big performance out of KK Washington, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Haydin Williams, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Camden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richland Northeast only posted an OBP of .381.

Camden's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Richland Northeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Richland Northeast's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Camden hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348.
