Softball Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

Northeastern extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-7. They lost 19-1 to the First Flight Nighthawks. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Nighthawks from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

As for First Flight, the win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 2-4. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

For First Flight's part, the team relied heavily on Savannah Schnader, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Schnader a new career-high. Kendall Schnader was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, First Flight is taking a road trip to square off against Perquimans County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeastern will be paying especially close attention to the Nighthawks' contest: after the Nighthawks face off against the Pirates, they'll take on Northeastern again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
