Preview: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. McClain Tigers
The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the McClain Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynchburg-Clay will be strutting in after a win while McClain will be coming in after a loss.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lynchburg-Clay ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 50-46 victory over Peebles. That looming 50-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lynchburg-Clay yet this season.
Meanwhile, McClain's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Washington, falling 68-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McClain has scored all season.
Lynchburg-Clay's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for McClain, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
