Baseball Game Preview: Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers vs. Southside Christian Sabres

For the second straight game, Christ Church Episcopal will face off against Southside Christian. The Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Sabres at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Christ Church Episcopal came up short against Southside Christian and fell 5-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Sabres: they've now lost four in a row.

For Southside Christian's part, Tyler Bolemon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Cole Atkins, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Southside Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Christ Church Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
