Softball Recap: Rialto Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Gorgonio last Wednesday, Rialto came back down to earth. The Knights fell 10-5 to the Eisenhower Eagles on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Desiree Saldate and Johanna Zamano stepped up to the plate in a big way. Saldate went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Zamano went 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Milenni Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Rialto's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Eisenhower, they moved to 10-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Rialto didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-7 win against Bloomington on the 7th. As for Eisenhower, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-4 defeat against Colton on the 7th.
