Basketball Recap: Lake Lure Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Lake Lure Classical Academy lost against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors were beaten by the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons 72-28. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lake Lure Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tristan Marso went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Marso.

Lake Lure Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-59 win against Highland Tech on the 4th.
