Volleyball Recap: Broomfield Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Broomfield duked it out with Horizon on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Hawks since October 16, 2018.

Broomfield was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Horizon work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-16, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Sarah Vaness, who had ten digs and two assists.

With the defeat, Broomfield broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 6-10. As for Horizon, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Broomfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Holy Family on the 9th. As for Horizon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Centaurus on the 9th.
