Baseball Recap: Marksville Comes Up Short

Marksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Rapides Mustangs. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Marksville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Evans, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Evans is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Marksville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Rapides, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Looking ahead, Marksville will head out to challenge Avoyelles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rapides, they will face off against Oak Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
