Christian Academy of Knoxville never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Loyola Academy on Saturday. They blew past the Ramblers 13-5. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Emily Bogoski made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Bogoski was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played.
In other batting news, Gracie Kringen was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Ella Borbeck was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Christian Academy of Knoxville's record now sits at 6-2. As for Loyola Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Coming up, Christian Academy of Knoxville will challenge Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loyola Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-4 defeat against Scott County on the 29th.
