Softball Game Preview: Townsend Harris Hawks vs. Grover Cleveland Presidents

The Townsend Harris Hawks will square off against the Grover Cleveland Presidents at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Townsend Harris will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While Townsend Harris' win against Jamaica wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks won by a run and slipped past the Beavers 5-4. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Hawks have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Grover Cleveland lost 25-10 to Richmond Hill on Thursday.

Townsend Harris pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.5 runs over those games. As for Grover Cleveland, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
