Trinity Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 73-41 win over Sherwood Christian Academy. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Edmund Burke Academy had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.1 points) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 64-43 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian better keep an eye on Leila Eastmead. She was instrumental in Edmund Burke Academy's win, putting up 27 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Eastmead is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Carleigh Woods was another key player, going 6-for-15 on her way to 18 points and four steals.

Edmund Burke Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 28 consecutive games dating back to last season.

The win made it two in a row for Trinity Christian and bumps their season record up to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Edmund Burke Academy, their record now sits at 23-3.

Trinity Christian beat Edmund Burke Academy 60-52 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
