Barren County is 9-1 against Russellville since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Barren County will venture away from home to square off against Russellville at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Barren County will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Grayson County on Thursday. Barren County never let Grayson County get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Josey Moore was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Kyra Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Russellville earned a 6-3 victory over Webster County on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Russellville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Barren County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Barren County took their victory against Russellville when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barren County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
