Softball Game Preview: Northeastern Bobcats vs. East Pennsboro Panthers

The Northeastern Bobcats will venture away from home to take on the East Pennsboro Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northeastern comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Northeastern faced off against Central York on Tuesday. The Bobcats lost 16-1 to the Panthers.

Northeastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Redding, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, East Pennsboro came up short against Trinity on Wednesday, falling 13-7. The Panthers have struggled against the Shamrocks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Sofia Morrill was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were her first of the season.

Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for East Pennsboro, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 6-3.

Northeastern might still be hurting after the 15-3 loss they got from East Pennsboro in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
