Football Recap: Shelby County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shelby County played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Holtville Bulldogs, falling 35-13. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Garrett Barnes threw for 45 yards. Cooper Pennington was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Shelby County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Holtville, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Shelby County and Holtville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats will challenge rival Sipsey Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Holtville is set to square off against their familiar foe Sylacauga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
