Basketball Recap: Patton Comes Up Short

Patton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 39-31 to the R-S Central Hilltoppers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hilltoppers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-30 back in January.

Lai Flack continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for R-S Central, putting up 17 points. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Flack has scored at least a third of R-S Central's points. Another player making a difference was Alena Jimerson, who posted eight points.

Patton's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for R-S Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Patton has already played their next contest, a 37-18 defeat against Brevard on the 7th. As for R-S Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-49 loss against East Rutherford on the 7th.
