Metamora is 8-2 against Canton since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Redbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Little Giants at 4:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Metamora has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Canton will arrive with nine straight victories.

Last Saturday, Metamora came up short against Huntley and fell 7-3.

Meanwhile, while Canton put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Limestone. The Little Giants put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 6-0 win. Considering the Little Giants have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Tori Birch's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Allison Wheeler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Downing, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Canton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Metamora, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Everything went Metamora's way against Canton when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Metamora made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Redbirds repeat their success, or do the Little Giants have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
