Baseball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Parkway Central on Tuesday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Lions lost 17-1 to the Seckman Jaguars on Thursday. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northwest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Benefield, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Northwest has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Seckman, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will host Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Seckman, they will take on Oakville at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
