Baseball Recap: Jay Bulldogs vs. Stilwell Indians
After flying high against Stilwell last Monday, Jay came back down to earth. The Jay Bulldogs wound up on the wrong side of a tough 14-1 walloping at the hands of the Stilwell Indians on Tuesday. Jay was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stilwell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played.
Sawyer Lane made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with a home run.
Jay has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Stilwell, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
Jay will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Siloam Springs at 5:00 p.m. As for Stilwell, they will head out on the road to square off against Warner at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
