After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Patrician Academy, Monroe Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Clarke Prep Gators 42-18. Considering the Volunteers have won four matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Clarke Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Monroe Academy will welcome Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarke Prep, they will square off against Wilcox Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Gators' offense will have their work cut out for them.
