After both having extra time off, the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions and the Madison Blue Streaks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake Catholic just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Cougars.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lake Catholic a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 30-28, 23-25, 25-18.
Grace Loeser put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 13 digs.
Meanwhile, Madison didn't have quite enough to beat Perry on Wednesday and fell 3-2.
Madison took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-13, 20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will have to contain Gracie Kless as she made an impact in Madison's last game. She had 22 digs and four aces. Kless has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.
Madison's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Everything went Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's way against Madison in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin made off with a 3-0 win.
