Football Recap: First Assembly Christian Runs Past Marshall Christian Academy

With a playoff win on the line, First Assembly Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took down the Marshall Christian Academy Stallions 44-25. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now won six in a row.

Bryce Sasser continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 349 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Those 349 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Sasser was just one part of a punishing run game: First Assembly Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 394 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

First Assembly Christian's record now sits at 9-0. As for Marshall Christian Academy, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither First Assembly Christian nor the Stallions have any future games scheduled.
