Indy Genesis HomeSchool extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 11-5-1 in the process. They lost 9-2 to the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indy Genesis of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
Isaiah Giegerich was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Keyton Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eli Jackson, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Brandt Kieninger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Coming up, Indy Genesis HomeSchool will take on Bethesda Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will square off against Pike at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
