Soccer Recap: Albemarle Comes Up Short

Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 5-1 to the Mount Pleasant Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mount Pleasant this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in March.

Albemarle's goal came courtesy of Nevaeh Stokley, who's now up to three this season.

Albemarle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Mount Pleasant, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Albemarle will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gray Stone Day at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Mount Pleasant, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against North Stanly on the 17th.
