Preview: Kings Knights vs. Lebanon Warriors
The Kings Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lebanon Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Even though Kings has not done well against Turpin recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Kings simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Turpin 74-43 on the road. That 31 points margin sets a new team best for Kings this season.
Meanwhile, Lebanon didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Anderson on Friday, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Lebanon's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while Anderson is ranked 145th).
Kings' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Kings skirted past Lebanon 63-60 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Does Kings have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lebanon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
