Baseball Recap: Middlesex Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Middlesex's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King William Cavaliers on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Middlesex's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for King William, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Coming up, Middlesex will square off against King & Queen Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers are facing the Royal Tigers at the right time seeing as the Royal Tigers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for King William, they will face off against Deep Run at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 0.9, the Wildcats 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
