Basketball Recap: West Charlotte Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

West Charlotte won the last time they faced Hopewell, and Bri'Asia Rowe did her part to make sure it happened again. The West Charlotte Lions blew past the Hopewell Titans 71-36 on Friday thanks in part to Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kenya Grier, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (five).

West Charlotte has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Hopewell, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

West Charlotte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-64 defeat against Hough on the 7th. As for Hopewell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-47 loss against Chambers on the 7th.
