Football Recap: Bethune Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bethune lost against Deer Trail back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bobcats were just a hair shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Eagles.

Despite the defeat, Bethune saw an underclassman step up: freshman Angel Millan rushed for 81 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Ismael Perla, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Bethune now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Deer Trail, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Bethune is taking a road trip to square off against Kiowa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Trail, they will be playing at home against Branson/Kim at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
