While White County's win against Cumberland County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Jets 7-6 on Thursday.

Mabry Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Kylie Norvell was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Addison Norvell was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: White County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.

White County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Cumberland County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White County will host Cookeville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cumberland County, they will be playing at home against Clay County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
