Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against St. James on Wednesday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Sharks. The Chiefs haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Asa Board was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Brown Reaves, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

North Myrtle Beach's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for St. James, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

North Myrtle Beach will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Sharks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
