Soccer Recap: Mazama Takes a Loss

Mazama lost against Klamath Union on October 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Pelicans. That's two games in a row now that Mazama have lost by exactly three goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Mazama and nudges their season record down to 5-6-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 11-0-2 Henley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 81.6% over those games). As for Klamath Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Mazama will be playing at home against Hidden Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hidden Valley's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Klamath Union, they will challenge Henley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Henley's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Klamath Union's offense will have their work cut out for them.
