Las Vegas had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They blew past the Sunrise Mountain Miners 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-6.

Aaliyah Jones paced Las Vegas' offense, picking up 23 kills. Jones got some help from Millie Mangum and her 27 assists.

Las Vegas' victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Las Vegas will head out to face off against Virgin Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunrise Mountain, after both having extra time off, they and Mater Academy East Las Vegas will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
