Chico's and Shasta's game on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Chico turned on the heat in the second half with four goals. The Chico Panthers were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over the Shasta Wolves. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Shasta from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Luciana Sufuentes led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win (which was Chico's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four contests. As for Shasta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chico challenge the Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill's defense has only allowed 0.1 goals per game this season, so Chico's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Shasta, they will host Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shasta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
