Baseball Recap: Streator Comes Up Short

Streator and Ottawa squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Streator had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 16-6.

Streator saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isiah Weibel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Streator has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season. As for Ottawa, their win bumped their record up to 18-16.

As of now, neither Streator nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
