Football Preview: Mart Panthers vs. Goldthwaite Eagles
Mart is 3-0 against Goldthwaite since August of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mart Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Goldthwaite Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Mart is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Mart against Frost as the squad secured a 72-8 victory. Considering the Panthers have won six games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for D'Angelo Rhodes, who rushed for 181 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. De?Montrel Medlock was another key receiver, gaining 98 total yards and three touchdowns.
Mart was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Meanwhile, Goldthwaite never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Meridian 49-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five contests by 41 points or more so far this season.
Mart's record is now 8-1. As for Goldthwaite, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
