Basketball Recap: Astronaut Takes a Loss

Astronaut lost against Cocoa Beach on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Astronaut War Eagles fell just short of the Cocoa Beach Minutemen by a score of 59-56. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Max Louis was nothing short of spectacular for Cocoa Beach: he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Louis has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayesiah Carr, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals.

Astronaut's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Cocoa Beach, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.

Astronaut has already played their next contest (against Melbourne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cocoa Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-36 loss against Bayside on the 21st.
