Basketball Game Preview: Bridgeport Indians vs. Nitro Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Bridgeport Indians will jump right back in to play the Nitro Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bridgeport is coming into the match hot, having won their last 22 games.

Bridgeport is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Fairmont Senior with points to spare, taking the game 46-30.

Meanwhile, Nitro faced Shady Spring in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Nitro enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over Shady Spring. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Bridgeport better keep an eye on Ty Stephens 6'1 165Lbs. He was instrumental in Nitro's win, going 9-for-16 en route to 26 points and five rebounds. Timmy Lovejoy was another key player, putting up ten points and three blocks.

Bridgeport's record is now 25-1. As for Nitro, their record now sits at 19-6.

Bridgeport couldn't quite get it done against Nitro in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 52-44. Can Bridgeport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
