Carrie Gunter gave up the fewest walks she has since back in April of 2024 on Tuesday. She made a splash, striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She was up against Mitchell and has quite the history against that squad, as she also had a great game the last time she faced them back in March of 2024. Gunter has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

Gunter's strong effort led Madison over Mitchell and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
