Ashland benefitted from Holt in 7-6 win
Tyler Holt was a major factor in Ashland's win over Mt. Vernon on Wednesday. Holt did his part (and then some), tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (he also didn't allow any walks) for the 'W'.
Holt's strong effort led Ashland over Mt. Vernon and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashland has some work to do to even out the 2-7 series between these two since March of 2017, but a win here would be a good start.
