Currituck County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Northeastern Eagles 3-2. Currituck County have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Northeastern, too.

As for Northeastern, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manteo at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. Northeastern's defense better be ready for this one: Manteo have averaged an impressive 5.1 goals per game this season.
