Currituck County proved they can win big  on Wednesday (they won by six) and  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a  goal and slipped past the Northeastern Eagles  3-2. Currituck County have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Northeastern, too.
 Sarah Shea and  Carlie Ammons scored all three of Currituck County's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.
Currituck County has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7-2 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 27  goals over those four  games. As for Northeastern, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-10-1.
 Currituck County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next  match,  an  8-0  win against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech on the 28th. As for Northeastern, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manteo at 5:00  p.m.  on  the 30th. Northeastern's defense better be ready for this one: Manteo have averaged an impressive 5.1  goals per game this season.
