Basketball Game Preview: Groveton Eagles vs. Littleton Crusaders

Groveton hasn't had much luck against Littleton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Groveton Eagles will challenge the Littleton Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Groveton has six wins , while Littleton has 28 dating back to last season).

Last Tuesday, Groveton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against White Mountains, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory. The 50-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Littleton took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 58-22 win over Moultonborough Academy. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 30 points or more this season.

Littleton pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Groveton, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-0.

Groveton came up short against Littleton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 41-36. Can Groveton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
