It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bret Harte ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Calaveras Red Hawks 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bullfrogs have posted since March 22nd.

Jack Trent was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Trent was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Camacho, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-5. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Fox Darby was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Bret Harte kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Bret Harte has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Calaveras, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Coming up, Bret Harte will take on Amador at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Calaveras will be paying especially close attention to the Bullfrogs' contest: after the Bullfrogs faces off against the Buffaloes, they'll take on Calaveras again at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
