Football Recap: Quitman Skates Past Southeast Lauderdale with Ease + How To Watch

Quitman got themselves on the board against Southeast Lauderdale on Friday, but Southeast Lauderdale never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the Tigers. Considering the Panthers have won three matchups by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamarioun Dear, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

Quitman's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Brytyavis Dear. Quitman is 3-1 when Dear posts one or more sacks, but 2-3 otherwise.

The victory (which was Quitman's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.7 points on average over those games. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Quitman will venture away from home to square off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.11 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newton County at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
