Baseball Game Preview: Ottawa Hills Green Bears vs. Perrysburg Yellow Jackets

The Ottawa Hills Green Bears will take on the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Ottawa Hills is headed out to face Perrysburg after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Green Bears never let Northwood get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Tuesday. The Green Bears haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Perrysburg had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Tinora as they made off with a 9-2 win.

Tyler Palmer made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Winters, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Lucas Graham was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
