Soccer Game Preview: Glidden-Ralston vs. Gilbert

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Gilbert Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glidden-Ralston has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight defeats, while Gilbert will come in with three straight wins.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Glidden-Ralston's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverside on Saturday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gilbert faced off against Central Springs on Friday. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 2-0 shutout. Give Gilbert's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Gilbert pushed their record up to 10-2-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matchups. As for Glidden-Ralston, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Glidden-Ralston suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Gilbert in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
